Deleting text in BrailleTouch

2013-02-02 Thread Karen Poulakos

I'm really impressed with this app.

Is there a way to clear all text without having to delete letter by letter?
I was searching for something like a clear text button, and didn't find one.

Yes, you have to bring up the menu with a two finger swipe left, then single
flicks left until you get to clear text.

Hi Karen,

Thanks. I'm glad you like BrailleTouch. There is a "Clear Text" button
in the BrailleTouch menu. It is near the bottom, and is only visible if
you have already typed text.

As a hint, the "Start Typing" or "Resume Typing" button is always

the screen and then navigate from the bottom of the menu, if the menu

Hi Karen. Please try flicking left and right to see all the options in

If this does not work, please close the app and restart to see if that help.

thanks Caleb. Much easier to navigate the menu by looking on the screen instead
of flicking through.

I am still having the lagging problem, but turning Vo off and back on workS.
However, a thought. I am running the newest upgrade on a 4s. I Upgraded over
the air, not through iTunes. Could this be the problem? If that could be the

RE: Deleting text in BrailleTouch

I think you will find in any case where sliding your finger doesn't get what
you want, flicking will. The advantage to flicking is that it jumps from
item to item and skips the dead space.
Sometimes the buttons are physically very small and it is easy to slide
right by them.

Glad you found it.

Re: Deleting text in BrailleTouch

2013-02-02 Thread BrailleTouch

Hi Karen,
Glad you found all the menu options. There are more menu choices than
will fit on the screen. We use a Picker, which is a built in Apple menu
type that is used in many other apps - such as setting the alarm in the
built in iPhone clock app.

Flicking through the BrailleTouch menu works best in BrailleTouch.

Best,
Caleb

When I flicked, it was there, and finally appeared when I ran my

Thanks.

Karen,
If you want to delete everything on the screen, flick to the left
with two fingers to bring up the menu. Then flick through. There is a
delete all in the menu.

Is there a way to clear all text without having to delete letter by

didn't find one.

I think both methods work, place a finger in the right area, once you know
that; then flick either way to hit it right on.

2013-02-02 Thread RobH!
Well, just one short, seems it's off the bottom of the screen and one more
flick would get you to it.

So, and someone did suggest this, put the cleartext somewhere nearer,
though agree, too close has it's risk; I've blown away a perfectly good and
lengthy message with one before now. I accidentally split tapped it or
something, so easy when you're working with all 6 fingers at once. maybe
that's why it's so far away!
But it is nearer the bottom and start flicking from there.

All I'm finding is "Resume Typing", Set Email Subject", "Send Text Message",
"Paste From Clipboard", and Copy To Clipboard". I don't find anything to
clear text.
