2012-12-17 Thread Jordan Norregaard
Hello everyone. About the flight app, I'd recommend iFlyPro. It
contains a ton of airport data and flight status can be retrieved. You
don't need the internet to access airport data, locations of shops
Etc. but you do for flight status.

problem with iCloud backup

Paul,

More fundamentally, are you on the free iCloud plan, as that only comes
with I believe around 5Gb of iCloud storage.

Noting that this is for everything you use for iCloud, contacts, e-mail
etc, it could be that your iPhone backup is larger than the space
available, and as such, there is not enough room… which the error
message may just be misleading you over…

check the size of data on your phone, photos etc. and compare.

wifi sync and iTunes question

*Neil Barnfather - TalkNav mailto:for...@talknav.com>>* Jan 02 10:19AM

Denise,

I have 5 iOS devices all syncing via WiFi to the same machine, so all I
can say is that it works.

Sometimes, and for no reason or ryhmn, a device keeps saying looking for
machine etc. but, after a bit it works.

A 3GS getting SoooOoo slow!
<http://groups.google.com/group/viphone/t/987c376ee235bf6f>

*Rob Harris mailto:bobs...@googlemail.com>>*

Yes, the 3GS is getting so slow now, clear the app switcher, still takes
seconds on end to respond to anything, swipes, reading next item,
navigating
or doing anything. I could shut down, could try the full reboot if I could
remember it; but don't want to clear down and reset from factory defaults;
it would take to long to rebuild it.

The question as ever is - why? The processor still runs at the same
speed,... doesn't it?

Thanks, RobH.

*Rob Harris mailto:bobs...@googlemail.com>>*

Ok, a real reboot did, or seems to have done the trick; it's back up to
speed now TG! Glad it was so simple. Why is hardly an issue though suspect
fragmented memory after all the starting and stopping of randomly selected
apps over a period of time. Seems a good idea to do this occasionally
anyway.

Bet there's bound to be rogue apps out there with poor memory management,
failing to release memory back to the stack in particular.

RobH, a tad wiser now.
