Exit out of the music app and go back to your Home Screen. 3. Touch the Dynamic island and it will tell you the name of the song playing. You can double tap it to bring up the now playing screen. Just like with Music, it will also work with podcast in the Overcast app. If you start a podcast in Overcast, the name of the episode is then listed on the dynamic island, and if you either double tap it, or flick up and expand, the playback controls will pop up. The carrot weather app also has things that will appear on the dynamic island, like when it is raining, it will put an umbrella on the dynamic island, and expanding it will give you more weather information. The dynamic island is new, but with time, I think more and more apps will take advantage of its ability.
