Re: Annoying Facebook App Issue and a VoiceOver Question

2019-11-09 Thread Duane Steele
Hi Donna, and others. I too have this same problem in FB. But when I go to
settings and contacts, I can’s find anything in there telling me to turn off
contacts in other applications. Is this not an option in iOS 13?

2019-11-08 Thread Donna
Hi,

I may have accidently happened upon the setting that will, hopefully stop this
very annoying Facebook bug or whatever you want to call it. I haven’t had a
chance to confirm my finding. Go to settings, contacts, turn off Find contacts
in other apps. If this doesn’t work..My next observation is that the
interrupting contact name pop-ups is a group setting. I don’t experience the
name suggestion, if I’m replying to a friends post on my news feed or community
pages. To keep from pulling out my hair, I use Notes or another app to write a
comment, I then copy & paste on Facebook.

Hi,
For quite some time now, I’ve had this annoying issue when posting or

I’m typing away, either on the onscreen keyboard, or, more frequently on my
Braille display. I’ll enter part or all of a word and WHAM! up pops someone’s
name, completely stealing focus away from my eloquent prose, ha ha. At that
instant I verbally utter some eloquent and dare I say vociferous curses which
fortunately won’t make it into my post or comment. I then have to do a lot of
fiddling about to regain focus on the edit field where I was writing. My
question, therefore, is whether there’s a way to stop Facebook from popping up
what it thinks are contact suggestions? If not, is there a way to tell
VoiceOver to ignore those popups and maintain focus where I’m editing? Thanks
in advance for any suggestions.

Facebook APP Issue

2015-04-26 Thread Chris Smart
Along with hearing "product" which others have mentioned, I'm also
finding that things are extremely sluggish when I'm on the birthday
reminders screen. By sluggish I mean waiting up to a second sometimes
for VO to respond to a simple flick right gesture.

Does anybody have an accessibility-related email address at Facebook
we can use, or should I just contact regular tech support to report this?

Re: Facebook App Issue

2014-06-02 Thread Brian Fischler
Hey all,

Just wanted to let the list know in case anyone else had the same problem of
new friend requests not showing up, as I let the app sit on the requests tab
and open for ten minutes but that still didn't populate the list, so I deleted
the app and reinstalled it and sure enough the requests are coming through fine
again.

Facebook App Issue

2014-05-30 Thread Brian Fischler
Hey all,

Curious to see if anyone else is having this issue with the Facebook app, not
necessarily a accessibility issue. When ever I get a new friend request and I
go to requests there is nothing there, always says No new requests, yet I get
email alerts as well for friend requests and if I click on the email and go to
Facebook on the web I always have a bunch of friend requests that are new
there. I assume there must be a problem with the app or has Facebook moved
where your new requests are? Thanks,
