You cannot close apps in the app switcher in iOS 6 using a braille display.You 
can close apps from in the app switcher in iOS 7 using a braille display.

Hey, guys, I'm using a Focus 14 braille display with my iPhone. So far, it's 
been great for the light use to which I put it.

I had a question though. How does one close applications from the app switcher. 
I'm still using IOS 6 and I'm just not sure how to do it.

Is this list an okay place for braille display questions?

You can't, as far as I know. To close apps you must double tap and hold, and 
there is no gesture for that. In iOS7 this is possible, because apps are closed 
with a three-finger flick up, but not in iOS6 or below.
