RE: Forwarding Text Messages?

2024-01-01 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I think that just forwards a text message to someone as a text message. There's
a copy option if you want to paste the text into something, such as an email
message, and forward it that way.

Yes. Flick up on the message with one finger to More and double tap.
Then, flick right until you get to delete then forward.
Double tap on forward.
I don't know if that forwards the entire conversation if there is more than one
message...

A Question About Forwarding Text Messages with Dates

2017-11-24 Thread M. Taylor
Hello Everyone,

Earlier today, I received a text message, not an iMessage, but a text
message, containing a date. Try as I may, I could not discover how to
forward this message, with VoiceOver running. All I could accomplish was to
initiate a dialog box that gave me options for the date, for example,
copying the date, adding the date to my calendar, etc.

The only way I was able to, finally, forward the text message was to disable
VoiceOver and perform a long press of the display. Once the appropriate
dialog box appeared, I re-enabled VoiceOver and continued on from there.

Question, is this a bug? Or is there a way to forward a text message
containing a date without inadvertently activating options for the date
event, itself.

Thank you,

Mark

RE: Forwarding text messages

2015-08-26 Thread Alan Lemly
Here's another way to forward a text:

1. Go to the text message you wish to forward and give it focus.
2. Do a single finger double tap and hold on the second tap.
3. A popup menu with Copy, Speak, and More will pop up.
4. Double tap on More.
5. A bottomline menu containing delete on the left and forward on the right
will be available.
6. Double tap on forward.
7. A screen will open and focus will be on the To box where you can type the
name of the contact you wish to forward the message to. The message being
forwarded is in the middle of the screen just above the keyboard.

Double tap on this and the message you are on will get selected and the

2013-11-25 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Keith,

In iOS 7 just flick down or up once when you are on the message you want to
forward. Your action rotor should be active unless you turned the rotor to
something else and flicking up or down once puts the action rotor on More.
Double tap on this and the message you are on will get selected and the
Forward and Delete buttons appear at the bottom above the home key. If you
want to forward multiple messages in a thread just double tap each message
and it will show as selected, when you are done double tap on Forward.

Basically the More option in the action rotor has replaced the edit button
which was there in iOS 6.

Regards,
Sieghard

Forwarding text messages with calendar events embeded for example, how?

2013-11-19 Thread Chris H

Good morning everyone.
Not sure if this is a user error or a bug, but wondering if you can show
me how to forward a text message with embeded links such as calendar
events in them?
I'm asking this because when I double tap on such a message, a menu pops
up with create event, show in calendar, copy and cancel. Unsure of this
I double tap copy.

But then when I came to forward the message, nothing was in the forward.
Any help greatly appreciated. Using iOS 7.0.4 on an iPhone 4s.
Thanks!

Chris,

Doesn't it just work the same as forwarding any message by going to the reply

calendar on the phone, but that's my thoughts! No doubt others Will know for

Re: Forwarding text messages with calendar events embeded for example, how?

2013-11-19 Thread David Chittenden
If using iOS 7, go to the text message you wish to forward. With the rotor set
to actions, a single-finger vertical flick will bring you to more. Double-tap
and the message will be selected. If you wish to forward more than one message,
all in a single message, double-tap on all the messages you wish to forward to
select them. Now, go to the bottom of the screen. The two options are delete
and forward. Double-tap on forward. The new message screen pops up. In the to
field, write the phone number or enough of the contact name for the contact to
appear below the to field. After double-tapping on the contact name, another to
field appears. You can have up to 10 contacts to send the message to (at least
iOS 6 had a limit of 10, I haven't tested the limit in iOS 7 yet).

Go down to the message field and all the selected messages will be there in a
continuous row. You may edit this as desired. Double-tap on send when finished.
Note: anyone in the list who has iMessage will be added to an iMessaging group
communication. I currently have four or five of these group communications
going on in my messages app.

Chris,

Doesn't it just work the same as forwarding any message by going to the reply
button and then selecting forward? I don't know, because I don't use the
calendar on the phone, but that's my thoughts! No doubt others Will know for
sure!

Good morning everyone.
Not sure if this is a user error or a bug, but wondering if you can show me how
to forward a text message with embeded links such as calendar events in them?
I'm asking this because when I double tap on such a message, a menu pops up
with create event, show in calendar, copy and cancel. Unsure of this I double
tap copy.
But then when I came to forward the message, nothing was in the forward.
Any help greatly appreciated. Using iOS 7.0.4 on an iPhone 4s.
Thanks!
