Google play music
Hi all, anyone using Google play music with iOS? If so, how do you add songs from your own music to the library? How do you get to the subscription options? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Google Play Music
Hello, I have an iPhone 4S and I was wondering if Google Play Music would work on it. I have been trying to get information about it. And also, can you pay a monthly fee from iTunes, or do you have to set up an account from my computer? If anyone can help me with this, it would be really appreciative. Thanks. Google Play Music, Accessible?
One of my sighted friends with an Android phone was telling me about Google Play Music. I do not remember its being mentioned in the discussion of the music streaming services. Re: Google Play Music, Accessible?
Hello. This service and this app is completely accessible to me. I used the app and voiceover does speak all of the things necessary to use the app. It used to not be this way but in the latest three or four versions it has worked fine. > On Nov 27, 2014, at 3:02 AM, Arnold Schmidt wrote: > > One of my sighted friends with an Android phone was telling me about Google > Play Music. Somebody already posted their experience I think yesterday or the day before. You can check the archive for "Google Play", but in a nutshell it sounded like ti wasn't very accessible. Very poorly labeled buttons. It's usable if you're willing to try to figure it out. Unsurprisingly, the android app is somewhat better. But we won't discuss that here. Re: Google Play Music Service comes to iOS
I tried out the app, and it is marginal at best. There are buttons on labeled, if you listen to the text associated with them, you can figure out what they do. This app still needs some work for accessibility. iPhone apps? was Re: Google Play Music app
Sorry if I'm stupid here but when an app is an iPhone app I believe it works on all supported iPhone models, even the 3GS may be listed if the app is iOS 6 or earlier compatible. Now for the iPod Touch yes this is questionable as it does not contain all the features for an iPhone such as GPS. Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS?
Hello Everyone, Okay, I know I said that I had no plans to subscribe to Apple Music, anytime soon but, well, let's just say I'm reconsidering this position. The primary reason why I didn't feel the need to subscribe to a music service is because, once upon a time, one could create custom radio stations based on artists, genres, a song title, etc, in iTunes. Apparently, Apple has now restricted this functionality to only Apple Music subscribers. (smart). Before I take the subscription plunge, I would like to consider free alternatives if for no other reason but that I know that I will use the custom selection feature rarely. So, is anyone using either the free version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS? If so, is it possible to create custom stations based on selected criteria? I'm probably going to end up subscribing to Apple Music but wanted to at least put this question out there, in the Ether (smile). All replies greatly appreciated. By the way, I'm still loving my HomePod. Went over to a friend's house today to check out the Amazon Echo. Wow! I was extremely impressed. I think I'm going to pick up an Echo Dot and use it at least until my beloved Siri can catch up, as I truly think she will, in time-a very, very long, long time perhaps, (big smile). Really enjoyed the audio games that Echo offers. The way I see it, I will use HomePod for audio playback and personal contact features, as they become available, and Echo Dot for fun. Re: Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS?
Mark, I can't answer your question about Pandora for iOS because I got the app for my iPad Mini and deleted it shortly thereafter. The sound quality was degraded, and I had to listen to advertising. I would have been willing to put up with one or the other, (although I would have prefered good sound quality and having to listen to ads rather than the other way around), but I felt it was just too much to put up with both poor sound quality and ads on top of that. I have both, as well as free Spotify. You can create stations based on artist and genra. But you can't request a specific song. Andy - Original Message - From: "M. Re: Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS?
Mark, I just compared the free Pandora with the free Spotify. I would say Spotify's quality is hands down better than Pandora. Yes, you get about a 30 second commercial every 30 minutes, but its free. -i just searched for Joni Mitchell and began listening. For free, you have to use "Shuffle play." But, Outside of my personal CD collection that I have imported into iTunes, Spotify makes a nice supplement. RE: Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS?
In order to get rid of the adds, you have to subscribe to a plan. For free, I can live with a 30 secodn add every now and then. Same goes for sound quality. I'm not enough of an audiophile to fuss over quality since I'm usually only running Pandora when working out or as background music while doing something else anyway. As far as the app itself, it's VoiceOver accessible and you can create stations with either a genre, artist and I'm assuming song (I've only done the first two). Today in fact, I created a station with the German band Rammstein. Don't use Spotify, so can't say either way on that. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Evan Reese Sent: Sunday, February 18, 2018 6:46 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS? I would have been willing to put up with one or the other, (although I would have prefered good sound quality and having to listen to ads rather than the other way around), but I felt it was just too much to put up with both poor sound quality and ads on top of that. RE: Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS?
I use the free version of Pandora with my Google Home. The sound on the Google Home is very good & the ads are few & far between. You can ask Pandora to play songs by a given artist but what you get is their idea of a radio station for that artist. Frequently I will hear one song by the artist I want for every 5 songs by others that Pandora deems similar. You can say thumbs up or down & Pandora fine tunes the station a bit to get the sound you like. This isn’t really too bad for free & is a good way to find new artists. I would like more control though so am thinking of subscribing to Google play. Sherry Wells -Original Message- From: M. Well, as I said, I wouldn't mind the ads so much, but the sound quality on the app I installed was noticeably lower than that of Tune-In. Mark, I can't answer your question about Pandora for iOS because I got the app for my iPad Mini and deleted it shortly thereafter. The sound quality was degraded, and I had to listen to advertising. I would have been willing to put up with one or the other, (although I would have prefered good sound quality and having to listen to ads rather than the other way around), but I felt it was just too much to put up with both poor sound quality and ads on top of that. Evan -Original Message- From: M. Taylor Sent: Sunday, February 18, 2018 9:36 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS? Be careful what you wish for. The high quality sound on spotify is a bandwidth hog. For my 40 minute work commute, it eats up more than 100 MB of data. Of course, Spotify offers a lower quality setting that uses a lot less data. If you live in a big city and ride subways like me, the noise inside the car means that someone is likely not going to notice much of a difference in sound quality. I only can when I am wearing my Beats Solo3 headphones, which cup over my entire ear. The algorithm in Pandora that selects songs is far superior than the one in Spotify. also check out jango Radio. the app offers unlimited skips unlike spotify and Pandora, but the music selection in the audomatic playlist is awful. I go to this app after I have maxed out my skips on Pandora and Spotify. Kelly On 2/19/18, Cristóbal wrote: > My understanding is that you get higher quality audio with a paid > subscription as well. Hi Mark, I know there are a lot of replies to your message and I haven't read them. However, let me say this, you bought the HomePod and said you enjoy it a lot. Do yourself a favour and buy the Apple Music subscription, I believe if you prepay for the entire year it is cheaper than $9.99 a month or maybe it's that you can buy a gift card for a 1-year subscription for a reduced price. If you like the HomePod as much as you said this will give you absolutely the best experience bar none. Being able to simply tell your HomePod what you want to listen to beats using another app and Airplay in my humble opinion. RE: Is Anyone Using the Free Version of either Pandora or Google Play Music for iOS?
Hello Sieghard. I did not know that one could purchase an entire year of Apple Music, at once. If this is the case, then I will definitely be subscribing to it as I prefer an annual subscription to a monthly one. Okay, I'll look into it as HomePod is, for whatever reason, my preferred music playback speaker. There's just something about that rich, elegant, sophisticated sound that it emits. Thank you, my friend. I used Apple Music within the first six months after its release. It had very little classic jazz recordings, except for the big names. There was virtually nothing from contemporary independent artists. I was better off ripping CD’s and loading them onto my iPhone and using services like Spotify and Pandora.
