News360 - has anyone tried this app?
All, I had read an article about Nes360 which is an interesting aggregator as it pulls stories from multiple points of view and presents them. I tried the app on my iPad and I have to admit I'm not sure if the interface is just confusing to me initially or there are some accessibility issues with the app. So, I thought I would ask if anyone has tried this app out. I would be curious what others think and if there are issues of accessibility please let me know. I'd like to communicate with the developer and see if these issues (assuming there are such) can be addressed. After using Voice Dream Scanner, I’m personally not that interested in such an expensive app. If someone did a side by side comparison, that would be interesting. Voice Dream Scanner does all the recognition on the device too, so no internet needed, and it is only a one time cost of $5.99. A little further on the Super Sense app. I went ahead and tried the free trial. I think they have good instructions that are voiced for a new user, but between Seeing AI, which is free, and Voice Dream Scanner, for $5.99, you can out perform this app in a heartbeat and not waste money. The Quick View in Super Sense requires that you keep holding the camera over the text until it is done reading, while Seeing AI Short text, is easier because once it is reading well, you can lay the phone down and it will read everything it captured. And since Voice Dream Scanner can add multiple pages to one document, I don’t know why anyone would want Super Sense. I’m open to finding out I missed something, but that is getting back to KNFb Reader pricing and it just ain’t worth it. Hello, I have this app and it is great and so is the voice dream reader. I have a question that I was wondering if anyone had the answer to though. When I am in the app and I have Scan anywhere between 5 to 10 pages the app keeps crashing and kicking me out of the app. I have uninstalled it closed and opened it and then all the usual things to help with this type of issue. Does anybody else have this issue or have any suggestions? I agree it is way overpriced. They are trying to make up development cost in a year. The days of people buying $100 apps for there phone are pretty much gone I think. Hi, to the person asking about voice dream scanner crash after taking few pages, i also experience this. reported it but no respond. specs: iphone 5s, ios 12 latest. maybe that app is processing while we take the pictures so it crashes. Well, I've used this app a ton and not had that issue. The 5s may not have enough processing power since all the processing is done on the phone. First, make sure you have cleared out your app switcher. Then, press and hold the power button until it says power off. Release the power button and press and hold the home button until VoiceOver comes back and you are back to the home screen. This clears out the memory so you should have your maximum processing resources available. If it still crashes after only a few pages, then delete the app and reinstall it. If you still have this issue, write to Voice Dream support again and let us know too. I'll see if I can resurrect an old 5s for testing. How much room is on the phone? Since it doesn't use the web, it will need to store everything on the device initially.
