I couldn't sign in either but I never tried too hard. I use my google 
credentials to sign in. It never fails on my computer but never works on iPhone.

I have a iPhone 4 and I have never had a problem like this before.
As far as sharing options go there are only buttons for email and 
Twitter. In IOS 6 when Facebook is more integrated a button will be there but 
that does not do any good now.
I suppose you could copy the URL then paste it into a Facebook status 
on your phone. That is probably the only way.
