I listened to this podcast yesterday and really enjoyed it. Now that I took the time to listen and must say that I liked the discussion and content of the podcast, I will definatly listen again. All that this discussion has done is to spark my interest of the file and for all the time that people have been complaining about it, they could have listened to the entire podcast. Please accept this as positive criticism. Lauren is right, there are lots of shows like this. So, what makes yours stand out. After listening for about 10 minutes, what I heard was a group of people who are blind trying to sound like a panel of news correspondents and stumbling all over each other's lines. I just didn't find it interesting. Perhaps a bit more focus and a bit more script planning is in order. I know, some people like spontaneity, and I am not suggesting that this should be done away with. But sometimes spontaneity needs to follow a loose script so that it doesn't degenerate into just so much talk about not much of anything. Remember, I said this was positive. I think this has some promise, and I am sure there are people who like it just the way it is. For my enjoyment and edification, I want to find out things of important with a lot less unrelated chatter that I have to wade through to get there. Good luck with your efforts. And people, don't start bashing the messenger because you think my criticism too harsh. That's not where I am coming from. I would guess the people who run this podcast want feedback, and that is all this is. Duly noted folks, The only reason that that email was so brief and to the point was because I had screaming children and other Chaos happening around me at the time. Perhaps I should have waited to send it but I wanted to get out to you all as soon as possible. The how to be blind podcast is nothing new to this list even though I understand many of the people reading this list are new. The outline of the show usually never changes. There are articles about blindness, lots of apps, and some extra random things thrown in for fun. That is how every single show works so if there is ever a question down the road now you will know.
