IPod touch sixth generation and Bluetooth or airplay

2015-12-16 Thread Mary Otten
I am sending this to both lists because it is possible there are some iPod
touch users on the Mac visionaries list who are not on the VI phone list. I am
interested in your experiences with iPod touch sixth generation using Bluetooth
or airplay. Using my iPhone, I have noticed some strange anomalies with the
volume when using Bluetooth, such that the music volume goes down. I have
noticed with airplay that sometimes the voice over volume goes down. I do not
have audio ducking on. And I wonder are people with iPod touches experiencing
this? One really strange example happens with my UE megaboom pair of speakers.
When I use that with my iPhone, the volume on the speaker to which the phone is
directly connected via Bluetooth takes a major hit. If I connect an android
device to Bluetooth that same speaker has no problem, and stereo balance is
maintained. That's one of the few good things I can say for the Nexus device I
recently bought, but that is another story entirely. My interest is in the iPod
touch, wondering if this is a problem unique to iPhones, unique to my iPhone,
or something general with iOS 9 and these devices.
Mary

Re: IPod touch sixth generation and Bluetooth or airplay

2015-12-16 Thread Richard Turner

Hi Mary,
I have used my iPod Touch 6th Gen with my Sound Brick bluetooth speaker all
day, several days without any volume strangeness.
Last weekend I had it running about 6 hours straight, then another 4 or 5 on
Sunday, and never noticed any volume changes.
Later,
Richard
