Re: Importing a folder of MP3 files into Voice Dream Reader

2023-02-28 Thread Joshua Hendrickson
You don't create zip files in voice dream. I just make the zip files
on my PC, then upload them into certain folders I've created for them
in dropbox, then once uploaded to dropbox, I then add them to certain
folders I've created in voice dream reader. I've got an audio books
folder and an audio dramas folder in voice dream reader, and that is
where I put any new audio books, or audio dramas I want to next listen
to. I'm currently reading a bunch of graphic audio westerns. It is
working quite well. It is so nice being able to have content download
into certain folders in voice dream reader. It is great for
organization. I've also got folders where I put bookshare books after
zipping them up to read in voice dream reader. All this uploading to
dropbox and creating zip files and folders isn't quick by any means,
but it does work, if one is patient.

Far as I know, you cannot use Voice Dream Reader to create a zip file.

Re: Importing a folder of MP3 files into Voice Dream Reader

2023-02-28 Thread Wayne Merritt
Josh,
After some experimenting and figuring out what to do, I ultimately did
everything within VDR as well. I don't use the app very often, but I was amazed
at the control and added abilities the user is given regarding creating folders
and moving items into those folders. Once I figured out what I was doing, it
was very easy to get my task accomplished.

Kind regards,

Re: Importing a folder of MP3 files into Voice Dream Reader

2023-02-28 Thread Steve Matzura
The action to get a ZIP archive of MP3 files into VDR is neither import
nor export; it's share. You must share the ZIP archive file with VDR,
and as of iOS 16, VDR is not on the default share sheet screen until you
press the More button toward the bottom. You can do this from the native
Files application, but I bought File Browser just because I like the
interface better, but they both do effectively the same thing.

Greetings. I know this topic has come up before on this list, but

how to do this? Also, is it possible to listen to these files at a
faster than normal speed inVDR?

Thanks,
