RE: Issue with the Capital One Mobile app
I'll double check, but I'm a straight VoiceOver user. To the best of my memory, I haven't really monkeyed around with zoom or enlarged text size, etc. Today, I got a button below the Creditwise button and two tabs at the bottom of the screen for auto loan advertisement. Still no locator though. I even checked my app settings in the iPhone's settings and while my other banks. I have an iPhone 10S and I can see the branch atm button. Are you using zoom or a font enlargement that might be preventing it from showing on the screen? An update… So as I suspected, even with activating my debit card, no go. Still no option to locate a nearby branch/ATM. After that Creditwise button at the bottom of the screen, it’s still then the home and profile tabs. Anyway, thought I’d give a quick follow up. I already have a couple of credit cards with them and have used the iPhone app with no VoiceOver issues. Reviewing purchases, making payments, etc. Even opening and setting up the checking account was super easy via the phone. Anyway, After I got the account open, I poked around the app and for the life of me, couldn’t find anywhere that had an option to locate an ATM nearby. I live on the West Coast so the AllPoint ATM network was going to be my only option for things like depositing cash or withdraws. I was able to do this search via

It wasn’t some VoiceOver thing where VO wasn’t seeing it. She didn’t see the ATM locator option either. Same with me. Creditwise and then the two tabs. I was able to get rid of that credit card budgeting option so that no longer appears under the Creditwise button, but now it just goes from that button to the two Home and Profile tabs. I have two credit cards and this new checking account. The branch/ATM locator wasn’t present when it was just the credit cards, but at that time, it wasn’t something I even thought about since I didn’t need one. So weird. After the Creditwise button, it’s just the two tabs for me. Home and Profile. I was able to get rid of that budgeting tool. I even reset location and privacy settings as suggested by the Capital One rep and no dice. Capital One doesn’t even show up as an app in my locations section of Privacy like my other banks do where I can enable/disable location services. I mean, it’s not the end of the world. I haven’t used the mobile app but have used their site for several years. They have little interest in accessibility. I have contacted them several times about problems but nothing happens. Some problems are fixed in the next major release but new problems appear. At least it is better now than when I first started with them. I still have to call to do a few things.
