Amazing as before the update on 5S and IOS 8.1 the app worked fine for me now after the update the app will not even open, it just crashes upon me trying to open. Pathetic. Wow I would expect more from a company like Looktel when releasing an app update. Fortunately for me I had the old Money Reader version in iTunes and deleting the recent update from my iPhone and reinstalling it from iTunes got me rolled back and the old one works fine. Strange, my experience is just the opposite. It stopped working on my 5S with 7.1.1. After I updated to IOS 8.1.1, it still didn't work. But, I deleted and re-installed the app and it now works like a champ again. Money Reader Solution
For those of you who are finding that Money Reader doesn't work with the latest IOS update, make sure the app has permission to use your camera. You can find out if it has this permission by going into your privacy settings and flicking down until you see camera. Double tap on this and you will see all the apps that have permission to use your camera. If you don't see Money Reader there, make sure the app is out of your app switcher. Then go back into it and it should ask if it can use your camera. Once you agree, you should have no difficulty reading your money. Hi Suzanne, Money reader is listed under the apps that are using the camera and it says on and it still doesn’t work for me. I’m glad yours does! It’s weird because it won’t open and as stated before it puts focus on another app but yet it shows up in the app switcher as if it had opened. I did notice when I was checking for what was new with this update that it said that it was compatible with IOS 8.0 not 8.1 and we know what 8.0 was like? Maybe there will be another update to this soon that will work with 8.1? It doesn’t make sense that it did work with 8.1 for me until this latest update.
