Re: Netflix accessibility

2013-10-21 Thread Jared
I've gotten frustrated enough with the app that I just go to netflix.com in
Safari. I find what I want to watch and when I click on it the app launches
and starts playing.

Have you been using the Netflix app, and you're saying the latest
version is less accessible than previous versions?

For my part, it seems to work the same as it always has. You can only
double tap things that are actually visible on the screen, and exploring
with voiceOver with flicks left and right doesn't update the screen. I
use a double tap and hold and then slide my finger to actually pan the
screen up or down or left and right. I'll then explore the screen, and
if I find what I want to double tap on then I double tap. If not, then I
pan around some more. It's a bit tedious, but it works if you're willing
to put up with it.

There's supposed to be a good podcast on AppleVix.com, but I still have
to look for it and listen to it myself.
