Notifications Again.

2012-09-28 Thread Kawal Gucukoglu
Hi.

Some one said if you turn off badges that notifications would read in locked
screen if you selected the alert option instead. It's not working for me as
it's not made any difference. Using an I phone 5.

Hi, would someone please explain badges and alerts?
I thought badges indicate new items, but what else do they do?

Hi,

Thats it. Badges just indicate visually that an app has some kind of alert or
notification that needs your attention.

Re: Notifications Again.

2012-09-28 Thread Ioana Gandrabur
Hi,

I think there was a confusion between badges and banners. Banners are the
alerts that are only appearing for a limited time on the screen and then go
away on their own. Other require an action on your part.

Hope this helps,

Re: Notifications Again.

2012-09-28 Thread Chris
That's what a badge does, displays the number of new items next to the
app. As for alerts they are like dialogue boxes in that you are forced
to read the alert and double tap a button before it will go away.
