Re: The Otter box Case and iPhone 8 question

2019-11-16 Thread elevegnale
Hi, Debby!

I have an Otter Box case on my phone and I have no trouble with it. In fact, i
like it because when I’m walking around the house, I clip the Otter Box to my
clothing and it stays without falling off. Hope this helps. By the way, it
has a covering over it so that it really protects the iPhone. I don’t know if
it’s waterproof, but I don’t want to find out! Haha!

Hi all,

I’m going to upgrade to an iPhone 8 and I wondered if anyone knows if there is
still a problem with using an Otterbox Case with Voiceover? I think I remember
hearing that there was a small gap between the screen protector and the phone
so when you performed voiceover gestures they didn’t always work. Is this still
true?

Also, I believe the iPhone 8 is the first iPhone to not have a dedicated
headphone jac. If this is so, does an adapter come in the box or do you need to
purchase one and what kind do people recommend?

Thank you!

Re: removing sim card from iPhone 5s in otter box case

2014-04-29 Thread Steve
No, it is not. The plastic frame has to be separated. You might be able to
extract the phone from the bottom of the case after you take the rubber
surround off.

Hello,
I need to remove my sim card from iPhone 5s. Is it possible to remove the
card while the phone is in the otter box case? I was wanting to remove the
sim without having to take case apart.

thanks very much.

As far as I know, this is not possible. That's one reason why I don't
like these cases, I tend to swap my sim between phones quite a bit, and
this case makes that very difficult. That's why I stick with the juice
pack, it doubles the battery life as well.

The Otterbox Commuter is available. It does not give the same level of

Hi I have the iPhone 5 and the otter box defender case for it.
But I was thinking about getting another otter box case for my phone just
not the defender.

So do any of you have an otter box case that isn't the defender one?
If so how do you like it and do you think that is gives the same
protection as the defender or doesn't it really matter?
I would like to get A otter box case that makes the iPhone A bit less
bulky to carry around but gives it good protection as well.

So thank you all and I will watch for the responses on the list.

Hi, perhaps you are talking about the Otter Box Commuter. This is a good
case. In fact, my current case is a Commuter Wallet Case from Otter Box.
The back slides down and I can put up to 3 cards in. I have my ID, my
bus pass, and my bank card. That way if I get mugged, the person will
have a good Christmas. Seriously though, since I take my phone with me
everywhere, I have no more need for a fat wallet.

an otter box case question for you all

2014-03-13 Thread Casey

Hi I have the iPhone 5 and the otter box defender case for it.
But I was thinking about getting another otter box case for my phone
just not the defender.

Re: Otter box case

2013-05-22 Thread Arianna
Yeah! I love my Otterbox Defender! I've had this case ever since I got my first
iPhone in September of 2010. It's taken a pretty good beating, but it's
protected my phone very well. it's only in the last 6 months or so that it's
really started to look the worse for wear. The headphone jack cover has come
completely off on one side, so it just kind of hangs there if it's not pushed
into it's slot. The hard shell has also taken damage, the most noticible being
the chunk of plastic that keeps the top of the case shut going flying when the
phone took a dive off my bathroom sink. Other than that, this case has survived
rather well.

Thanks,
Ari

RE: Otter box case

2013-05-22 Thread Rose Combs
I have had my phone in the Otterbox case for over two years, never have
taken it out once it was put in and other than the bottom flap not staying
closed I have had no problems with the rubber casing. I was considering a
case with a battery but, don't want to lose the part of my case that
surrounds the screen or the protection, especially since I accidentally
pulled it off a table not long ago and could not catch it.
