RE: Otterbox Impact Case and SpeedDots Screen Protector
Hello Vicky, Whenever you purchase one of our bundles, (the case and screen protector together,) you receive, (in the case of the Impact,) the case, as well as the screen protector and cleaning cloth. This is because the Impact case does not have a built-in screen protector like the Defender. Whenever you purchase the Defender bundle from us, however, we cut the screen protector to fit over the top of the case that you purchased, to insure a perfect fit, and then send it to you; so there's no need to apply the protector. If you give your phone to someone, and they want to use that Defender case without the embossed dots, they can easily remove the tactile protector and have the normal OtterBox built-in screen protector. The only thing I will warn you of, is that whoever removes it needs to be extra careful when doing so. Because we cut them to fit exactly, there's generally a tight fit around the corners. As long as you or someone else does not try to take a knife to it to lift up a corner of the tactile protector and damage the built-in plastic of the OtterBox, there's no reason why it cannot be reused by whoever gets your phone. I hope this explanation makes sense. *smile* Please let me know if you have anymore questions. Amy Billman Check out my company for your screen protector and phone accessory needs! Re: Otterbox Impact Case and SpeedDots Screen Protector
Ok, I find that a paper-type flexible peel-off would work better than a stiff backing. one can do a lot of lining up with the backing still on and just an exposed corner or end exposed ready to apply once you're happy it's all lined up; then you pull the backing out from under it and wiping along the surface to make it adhere. Like you do with the classic sticky-back plastic. I['ve done full kitchen tables with that stuff, and the key is never to expose all the adhesive at once or you'll be fighting it forever more! That, indeed, is why I didn't get on trying to apply the speed dots thinghy in the first place. Hth, RobH. Try it! Re: Otterbox Impact Case and SpeedDots Screen Protector
I have to say, I had this combination, I'd tried and failed with the speed dots thinghy; then tried again with this case, fiddled until I got it lined up right, and then got the cover on over it without lifting any corners and it's worked a treat since. This is a very good combination. RobH. - Original Message - From: "Raul A. Then feel with your fingernail along the left edge from top to bottom, and then the same on the right edge. This is to determine if the protector is slightly too far to the left or right. If you can feel the smooth glass for example on one side, but not the other, then it's off centered a little. Also, if you run your fingers around the corners of the phone, make sure that you don't feel the edge of the protector sticking out as that will also be an indication of a mis-aligned application. The nice thing about these is that are reusable and so if you have to remove them and reapply them, it can be done with little fuss. Just make sure to have clean hands to avoid oils from getting between your protector and the glass surface. Good luck, and if I can help more, let me know.
