Possible identity of Daniel voice
Chris I’m afraid she’s not even found in iOS7 – we only have Daniel, nice though he is. If we want Siri to understand our British accents we need to keep it on British English and he’s the only choice unlike in the US where you have male or female. I think it would be nice to be able to choose the gender of Siri. One last thing I’d like, putting aside for a second all the fantastic things that iOS7 has done for us and sounding ungrateful, is the built-in weather functionality to be able to give me temperatures in degree Celsius as I always have to do the take away 30 and then halve it process in my head. Possible identity of Daniel voice
Hello everyone. While we're on the discussion of identifying VoiceOver voices with actual people, check out the Daniel voice and sees if he somewhat sounds like the Voiceover from The Weakest Link? I think you'll find they do sound much alike to each other! Unlike the other thread though, I cannot point to websites with audio samples. Possible identity of Daniel voice
Chris I met the chap who recorded the voice that became Nuance’s Daniel at a conference recently – he’s called Jon Briggs and he said that, if we were thinking that his voice sounded familiar, then it’s because he is the voice of Siri and half the station announcements in the UK too. Actually in my station of Warwick he’s literally half the announcements as he announces all the Northern-bound trains while a nice lady does the South-bound ones. I would love to know who does the Tom voice. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but I think the person who did that did the voice prompts for Apple here in the United States as well as United Air Lines. Mike, You ar right. Susan bennit is the voice for voice over. I can tell when she narrates, and also does the on hold messages, got that from the website you gave. I love this discussion.
