Howdy,

As long as I've been using an iPhone, I've never really dabbled in this
area, but now that I have an iPad for travel purposes, I thought I'd ask the
following.

I know many people download and save things like TV shows and movies to
their iDevices. I didn't want to use the phone for that to conserve battery
life and other things. Now that I have the iPad, how would I go about
getting movies and TV shows on to it?

Does everything have to go through iTunes, or can I get them from different
places?

Would I be able to access and watch things if I'm on an airplane or
somewhere where I don't have WiFi signal but still have AT&T service?

Where or how do I begin looking at what I can save and download?

Thanks for the help and I hope I'm starting a conversation others might like
as well.

Jim
