RE: App To Recognize SAR (Saudi Money?)

2021-11-21 Thread Fazil M.
Thanks much, Sieghard, for such a nice explanation.

Just a little note here, Hajj is performed from eighth and twelfth day of the
last month of Islamic calendar only, while I am going for Umrah that can be
performed anytimes of the year.

Thanks!

RE: App To Recognize SAR (Saudi Money?)

2021-11-21 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Simon, don't assume things. Fazil is from Pakistan and I believe he asked about
recognizing Saudi money because he is planning to visit Saudi Arabia, maybe to
participate in the Hajj, but again now I am making assumptions.
And for those who are not familiar with the concept, in the Islam faith there
are the so-called 5 Pillars which are the core beliefs and practices defining
Islam, the Hajj is the the annual pilgrimage to Mecca which every Muslim should
do at least once in a lifetime, provided one can afford it and can provide for
their family in their absence and it is the 5th pillar. If anybody wants to
know the other 4, just Google "What are the 5 Pillars of Islam" and you'll find
it.

Hi Fazil

Sorry it’s an attempt at being funny,

Your country is known for having a lot of oil and gold at least the royal
family probably does,

I said I thought that was your currency,

As in doesn’t everyone in your country have their own oil well in the back yard
of their homes.

If it wasn’t for the middle eastern countries we wouldn’t have most things
because of oil.

Cash Reader will recognize Saudi Riyal, but it's an expensive app as apps go.
The app is free to download, but the free version only recognizes the two
lowest bills of any country's denominations so here in Canada this would be the
$5 and $10 bills. However, the app can recognize 100 currencies from around the
world and it is updated frequently when a new currency is added or there are
changes in the bank notes of supported currencies.
If you purchase the app it will recognize all bills and at least Canadian
currency it recognizes very well and very fast and pretty much any way you hold
them whether open or folded in half.
It is faster if you specify which currency you want to recognize, but you can
set it to "All Currencies" and it will recognize any of the supported
currencies you show it, but it may take a bit longer because if you tell it,
for example, to recognize Canadian money it only has to look at the 5 bills we
have here.
The in-app purchase to unlock full functionality is $34.99.
You can set the app's language to Arabic, but not Punjabi or Urdu. The link for
the Canadian app store is below and below that is the link to the Cash Reader
website where all currencies are listed by region, you can use Heading
navigation to jump from region to region, e.g. Europe, North America, Africa,
Middle East etc.

Nah, that’s old news,

We got rid of most of the sheep and changed to cattle,

Farmers over here are making truckloads of money in milk products,

Which means the average kiwi can’t afford milk on cerial so we have coke
instead, or speights, that’s a local beer.

Even our lamb goes off to other parts of the world for cheaper prices than we
pay at home.

The rest of us have to sell our bodies to science to feed ourselves.

I’m only typing with one finger now!

2021-11-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
It's not gold bars or buckets of oil just as in new Zealand the currency is not
bundles of wool from your just over 26 Million sheep or baskets full of Kiwis.
