That's Not True, as only VZW's iOSDevices i.e.,
its iPhones are UnLock'd & have TheAbility
to Work/Operate on any Other MobileCarrier. No
other MobileCarrier has that Ability, as it's
Like purchasing or buying your iPhone FromApple.

Even Sprints iPhones won't work/operate on
VZW'sNetwork & they are the only Other MobileCarrier to have used CDMA

I think all of the newer models do have CDMA, but that technology is a dying
breed anyway. Verizon plans to shut there's down at the end of this year and
now that t-mobile has purchased Sprint, they will probably shut Sprint's

Welcome Marty! I am still in Chicago. I have owned an iPhone since
2012 and have been part of this list since. I believed I was a good
traveler then. The iPhone has enabled me to become an even better one,
all while playing my favorite heavy metal tunes. Feel free to use this
list to seek information that you can’t find with Google.

Besides locked phones, Apple produced different phones for different
network technologies in North America until 2018. Then, all the
iPhones introduced in that year were compatible with all North
American carriers. The iPhone 7 was introduced in 2016. I have an
iPhone 7 and specifically bought it at an Apple store because those
phones would work with all carriers. Those bought directly from a
carrier might only work with GSM or CDMA providers. Now that everyone
is on 4G LTE networks, the carrier phones might only work well on the
frequencies for that carrier. Before 2018, phones sold by American
carriers often did not have all the frequencies used by other
carriers.

This is why I always suggest buying an iphone directly from Apple and choosing
the sim free option, this way it is unlocked right out of the box.

Re: Changing an iphone 7 from A T T to Verison

2020-08-21 Thread Mike Arrigo
This depends on whether the iphone is locked to a particular carrier,
supposedly Apple has been moving away from locking their phones. If the phone
is not sim locked to a particular carrier than yes, inserting the new sim
should be all that is needed.

Re: Changing an iphone 7 from A T T to Verison

2020-08-20 Thread Gordon
As long as you don't have any outstanding obligations to At and your
phone meets their unlock requirements, getting it unlocked is simple and
quick. Most of the unlock policies are pretty straight forward. For
example: T-mobile requires that a phone be active on their network for
at least 60 days with no outstanding obligations to them on your bill
and the phone must be paid off if you purchased it from them under a
payment plan. At is probably very similar to this.

You probably need to give the IMEI number to Verizon to make sure it
can work on their platform.

You find that under Settings, General, About.

It is quite a ways down that screen.

After the network information, Carrier, then IMEI.

If it is locked to AT you will have to get AT to unlock it.

You probably need to give the IMEI number to Verizon to make sure it can work
on their platform.

You find that under Settings, General, About.

It is quite a ways down that screen.

After the network information, Carrier, then IMEI.

If it is locked to AT you will have to get AT to unlock it.

If I do this, is it just a matter of trading sim cards or is an iphone built
for ATT or Vorison?
