Re: Differences in Generations of Apple Watch

2019-12-13 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi,

I would recommend a fourth or fifth generation watch as well because it will be
updated longer. However, VoiceoVer works very well on the third gen as well, so
if you get a really good deal, it could be a nice way to find out if you like
the watch without spending as much money.

Best,
Anna

If you can get a 4th gen or 5th gen, VoiceOver will run much better on
those than the older generations. VoiceOver was very sluggish on my
second generation, and I upgraded to a forth generation. You may be
able to find some from folks on Facebook or eBay, or used on Amazon.
The other things about the newer watches is the screens are much
bigger, 40 or 44 MM, which means more apps or complications on the
watch face.

Hello Pam,
I am not sure the 4th generation watch is readily available. It was roomered
that Apple was not going to sell the 4th gen after the 5th gen was released.
They did the same with the 2nd generation watch after the 3rd gen was released.
I have been seeing the 3rd gen advertised for $199. longer

Subject: Differences in Generations of Apple Watch

All,

I currently have a second generation watch and am looking at possibly
upgrading. Would it be worth considering the 4th generation rather than the
5th if I can get it significantly cheaper, or are there enough improvements
from the 4th to the 5th generation that this would not be a good idea? I am
assuming the 3rd generation would not be enough of an upgrade from the 2nd
generation to warrant purchasing that.

Thanks for any input.

Pam

Re: Differences in Generations of Apple Watch

2019-12-12 Thread Anna Dresner
Hi Pam,

The main things the fifth generation watch has that the fourth doesn't are a
built-in compass and the ability to remain on all the time so a sighted person
can look at the time without waking the watch.

Best,
Anna
