The short answer is there is no auto scrolling wile connected to the iPhone.
If you have a 14 cell display, then that is what you are going to get while
panning.
Some displays have auto scrolling with files on an SD card.
Is your iPhone in low power mode?
If so, it will lock in about 30 seconds.

Hi all, I have a couple questions.
Do you have any document reading recommendations aside from the Notes app. Say
I want to copy and paste some text then read it with my braille display.
The things I’m experiencing, I’m not sure if it’s settings I can tweak or if
it’s limitations of braille display and iPhone. As I manually pan forward in
the document, my phone wants to lock quickly. Even as I’m reading. If I am only
interested in reading in braille, is panning forward 14 characters at a time my
only option?
is sentence, line, or paragraph a possibility?
I know there are some displays that will continuously scroll underneath my
fingers, but does that only happen when the material is on SD card?
