RE: Does a 2 finger double tap end a Skype call
I will soon be a new user to Skype on an iPhone, what do I need to know to get started, my nephew suggested this because he uses it a lot to save his minutes but I have not used Skype since bout 2007 on a computer, with less than stellar results, once the reason I was using it was gone I stopped using it and it is not on this computer. I have the GW Micro product but have never opened or used it on the computer. I am not sure if I want a lot of stuff sending me messages which is one reason I have not even begun to attempt twitter or Facebook, I have to be pretty intense at my job and have been dealing with family illness, usually I do feel a bit disconnected but I don't want to be inundated with stuff I just cannot keep up with, sometimes I do wish I had at least Twitter access but, so far I have not caved in there. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Jonathan Mosen Sent: Wednesday, March 06, 2013 1:26 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Does a 2 finger double tap end a Skype call Hi Irene. RE: Does a 2 finger double tap end a Skype call
Hi neil, I just went through this because I had a few apps which I didn't want to be in the Notification Center nor did I want any sort of Alerts or Banners. I went into the notification settings for the app, did the 1-finger flick up and changed it from Banner to No Alerts, then I backed out of it and here it was back on Banners. I discovered that if it is on Banners, you have to double tap on that first, almost like unselecting it, then flick up to Alerts or No Alerts and then double tap the back button. Give this a try and after you are back in the main list just check if Skype now says "Alerts" instead of Banners. RE: Does a 2 finger double tap end a Skype call
OK, I figured it out. This seems like an abnormal Apple way of doing things. It is a list in which you swipe up and down to get to banners, alerts, or none. I thought normally these would be right and left swipe buttons one could select, but not the case here. Sorry for the original message. Now, I know. Doing a two-finger double tap starts your music playing but this in-turn does stop the Skype call. So you can actually do this by doing two two-finger double taps. :) HTH Cara :) --- View my Online Portfolio at: http://www.onemodelplace.com/CaraQuinn Follow me on Twitter! https://twitter.com/ModelCara On Mar 3, 2013, at 8:39 PM, Neal Ewers wrote: Hi, I forgot to try this when I was on Skype. Re: Does a 2 finger double tap end a Skype call
Hi, Unfortunately, doing a 2 finger double tap does not end a Skype call. Also, to access the speakerphone, you need to double tap the earpiece button, and then right above that button there will be a speakerphone button, On Mar 3, 2013, at 10:39 PM, "Neal Ewers" wrote: > Hi, I forgot to try this when I was on Skype.
