Yeah I’ve heard that some countries are already going for a third top up
vaccination.

Hi,

It was suggested when we were vaccinated that we not laminate our cards. They
said it is unclear whether further vaccinations will be needed. There are spots
on the cards to show additional vaccination and once the card has been
laminated they can’t add those additional vaccination records.

And once again since the list is international, this of course only works if
you have a card. Here in British Columbia you got a few papers both for the
first and second shot which state that you had the shot, which vaccine you got
and whether you had it in your right or left arm. Apart from that there is the
digital certificate available via the Health Gateway, but no actual card has
been issued and while there is a Federal component of the Canadian health
system, it's primarily a provincial thing so I assume maybe some provinces have
given out a card and others have not.

Since this list has international subscribers, it should be noted that the NHS
app referenced is only applicable in parts of the UK. If those in the US or
other places without a government-based app for tracking their vaccination want
to do so on their iDevices, I suggest googling the subject and reading one of
the several articles that have been posted on the topic.

As others have mentioned, taking a photo of your vaccination card (both sides)
is one option. I chose to scan both sides of my card on my flatbed scanner and
saved the resulting file as a PDF image file. Since these cards usually have
handwriting on them, running OCR on them doesn’t work great and a saved image
file will be more easily read by a sighted individual wanting to check your
vaccination status.

Sorry about that one. I was fixing something a mistake and accidentally hit the
send button before it was fixed. So what I was saying, they have like a little
clear plastic envelope which closes like the lock and lock bags to where you
press it shut. It will keep your vaccination card from ripping or tearing or
whatever. They are really neat. Ones I had seen came in packages of Fives, tens

And once again since the list is international, this of course only
works if you have a card. Here in British Columbia you got a few
papers both for the first and second shot which state that you had the
shot, which vaccine you got and whether you had it in your right or
left arm. Apart from that there is the digital certificate available
via the Health Gateway, but no actual card has been issued and while
there is a Federal component of the Canadian health system, it's
primarily a provincial thing so I assume maybe some provinces have
given out a card and others have not.

Since this list has international subscribers, it should be noted that
the NHS app referenced is only applicable in parts of the UK. If those
in the US or other places without a government-based app for tracking
their vaccination want to do so on their iDevices, I suggest googling
the subject and reading one of the several articles that have been
posted on the topic.

As others have mentioned, taking a photo of your vaccination card
(both sides) is one option. I chose to scan both sides of my card on
my flatbed scanner and saved the resulting file as a PDF image file.
Since these cards usually have handwriting on them, running OCR on
them doesn’t work great and a saved image file will be more easily
read by a sighted individual wanting to check your vaccination status.

RE: Having Proof of COVID Vaccination on Your Phone

2021-08-02 Thread Sieghard Weitzel

It probably depends on where you are and if that is offered, here in British
Columbia, Canada we can go to the provincial Health Gateway website where you
have to either register or sign in with the BC Services card app on your phone
(our health card) and then you can get a digital certificate, you can also add
notes to your health record, check your COVID-19 test results if you had to
take a test, prescription medications and they are just working on making lab
test results available..
