Hi Marie, Why did you put music on a thumbdrive in the first place if you were taking your laptop with all the music on it? You could have just made a playlist with all the songs you wanted to play.
I usually put any tutorials either into the Books or Podcast library. You do this by going to a tutorial file, right click on it and select Get Info or use the shortcut Control+I. Now go to the Options tab and tab down until you get to "NMedia Kind", I think it is 3 tabs. In the drop-down select either Podcast or Audio Book, then tab until you get "Remember playback position" and check it and then tab to "Skip when shuffling" and check it. Then tab to OK and activate it. Your MP3 file with whatever Podcast/Tutorial has now been moved out of the music library into the Podcast or Audio Book library depending on what media kind you chose. I brought along my laptop to play the music off from. The oddest thing came up that I can't for the life of me figure out and I really hope someone can provide a remedy. When we put the thumb drive into the computer, the songs started playing as they should, through I tunes. And like after 2 songs, instead of more music, I tunes started playing some of my audio tutorial files that are indeed in my computer but not on the thumb drive. I hope that isn't too confusing.uggh! I had to go into my I tunes library and delete everything that wasn't an mp3, in order to get it just to play music! Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to have I tunes distinguish music from other audio files? Was it not seeing the music off my thumb drive? There were no tutorials on the thumb drive at all.. I am using a windows7 with I tunes 11.3.1.2 Thanks in advance for any help. Marie -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
