Re: Making phone calls

2016-07-20 Thread Dave

i think you might be able to find the delete key on the keypad, and double
tap and hold,. if not it will be one number at a time, but once you've
double tapped the delete key, you can keep double tapping quickly.

Hi all,

When using the iPhone keypad to manually type 3 or 4 digits of a phone
number, is there a way of quickly deleting all numbers and starting from
scratch once again?

Also, rather than having to locate the Call button on the screen, is there a
gesture one can use to make the call?

Hope to receive some cool tips,

JR

RE: Making phone calls

2016-07-20 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Jeremy,

Yes, if you typed a bunch of numbers and you want to delete all just locate the
delete button to the right of the number edit field (it is above the 3 on the
keypad), and then double tap and hold it, it will delete all that is there.

As for the other question, no, if you manually dial a number you do have to
locate and double tap the call button. It is, however, easy to find as it is
right in the middle of the screen above the home button. Just put your finger
on the home button and slide up a bit and you'll be right on it.

Regards,
Sieghard

Re: Making phone calls on an iPod

2014-07-12 Thread Alex Hall
If the person you are calling uses an iPhone or has set up their Mac, you can
FaceTime or FaceTime Audio call them. This requires only their Apple ID email
address, or the phone number of their iPhone. You can also receive calls the
same way, just like you do iMessages. For non-Apple people, you might have a
harder time of it, though Skype is really a nice option.
