RE: Need help with Voiceover and date reading
Must be something in settings, my phone in US reads Saturday, November 17, I never messed with setting in the calendar and would not for the date as I like what I am hearing. Some days I really do need to know the day of the week, LOL, comes from working Sunday through Thursday I guess. -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Ioana Gandrabur Sent: Saturday, November 17, 2012 6:44 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Need help with Voiceover and date reading Hi, I am trying to find out if there is a way to set the format in regional settings so that Samantha reads dates in a more intuitive way. RE: Need help with Voiceover and date reading
Living in the United States, using the default voice, the Australian voice or the British voice, I hear "Saturday, November 16th.h" in the calendar app. If I am in Notes, and write 11/1/12 then I just hear the numbers, because that is what is written. If you are looking to have the numbers interpreted into words, I am not sure you will find that. RE: Need help with VoiceOver and date reading
What is your region format set to? Richard -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Ioana Gandrabur Sent: Wednesday, November 14, 2012 10:14 PM To: Viphone Subject: Need help with VoiceOver and date reading Hello everyone, I am using Samantha as my voiceover default. What can I do to have voiceover read dates in unintelligible format? I mean it just reads the dates in messages or reminders as a set of numbers. Is there anyway to make voiceover read them as real dates? Thanks for your help and I hope my question makes sense to you.
