have you shut down i.e., quit Skype on your PC, via the System Tray,
Skype right-mouse menu, and there activated Quit? Setting your status in
Skype to Invisible is not enough.

HI.

I am having a very perplexing Skype problem. I started off with Skype on
a
windows machine, iPad and iPhone. No matter what I seem to do, when I
shut
Skype down on my pc, I get shown as away.

Here is what I have tried.

going offline on all devices,

signing out of all devices, and finally removing Skype from my iDevices.
Still when I quit Skype on my pc which is set to invisible I bounce back
to
away.

Have I removed this app from my apple devices for nothing?

I would like to be able to use Skype on all my devices without having
the
statuses change on their own. I do always make sure the status is the
same
on all devices.

I have even tried unchecking and checking the box that says show me as
away
when inactive. I did this on the windows machine. I have even tried to
set
this to 999 minutes without success.

does anyone have a solution to this problem?.

Dave.

Hi, No answer yet, but this may explain why someone saw me on line but away
this morning when I had not even logged into skype today. I'll do some playing

Is there any chance your account has been compromised? When did you last change

Re: Perplexing skype problem

2014-11-22 Thread Deb Lewis
This is a known Skype bug which has been discussed extensively in the forums.
Its usually left over from having used one of the Skype Kit apps like the GW
Micro app or countless others. There seems to be no permanent fix for it. If
you log out of the account before signing out it seems to help, but even so it
doesn’t entirely resolve. happens to millions of people though including my
husband.
