Is your phone on mute?
Or, do you have vibrate on ring turned on?
If I mute my phone, then Prizmo causes vibrations which I think is there
attempt to indicate level, but I'm not sure.

Sieghard, whenever I use Prizmo, my phone starts vibrating like crazy. I'm not
sure if that's the page-detection thing, or what it means, but the app is

RE: Prismo manual and questions

2014-10-17 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Wayne,

Prizmo has some sort of page detection which I found was very difficult to
use but there is no feedback as to whether your phone is tilted or if your
text is straight. That is definitely the big benefit of KNFB Reader and I
think everybody who has used Prizmo and/or Text Grabber and now is using
|KNFB Reader would agree that it is expensive but that it is definitely the
best. I know David from New Zealand was very skeptical about it, but he has
bought it now as well and posted a few weeks ago that he also recommends it
and that he was impressed by its performance.
Have you checked Applevis? I seem to remember that at some point there was a
Prizmo Podcast.

Subject: Prismo manual and questions

Greetings. With all of the talk about the KNFB Reader app, I had forgotten
that I had purchased Prismo a few years ago and then deleted it from my
phone. I downloaded it from my purchase history last night.
Does anyone know of a manual or documentation, other than what is in the
app, for using Prismo? I read over the help documentation in the app and
there's not much there. Partly I am wondering how the app will tell me that
the picture is straight or if I am the appropriate distance away from the
page. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
For those that have Prismo, has anyone tried it on an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus,
and if so, how has your experience been?

Many thanks,
Wayne
