RE: Question about charging the phone

2018-10-31 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Rina,

Just use the wall plug that came with your phone and you cut your charging time
in half. A USB port on a PC delivers I believe 500 Milliamps whereas the wall
plug sold by Apple is a 5 Watt charger delivering 2.1 Amps and that is much
much better and faster. Most computers, for example, can't even charge an iPad
because the iPad needs more power than what the USB port can deliver.

Connecting your phone to a computer is always going to be a much slower
charge. I would plug it into the wall instead. It should only take an hour or
two to fully recharge from a low to completely dead state back up to 100
percent.

RE: Question about charging the phone

2018-10-30 Thread janet gross
Hi Dave and All,
Ok, now this sounds much better. I just couldn't imagine to get a full charge
it would take that long. I think I had mentioned to you before I didn't know
if I would get the phone 8 or the phone 10r, but I did feel the size of the
10R, and it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be meaning to large for my
hands.
Besides, the 10R felt even better in my hands when I got a $250 credit for a
trade in of my old phone, even though my phone is as old as it is, and the
front screen is just about completely off from the batteries over heating, and
I still got $250 as a trade in. LOL! I couldn't believe it, so I took the
deal! Smile!

Thank you so much.
Janet

John,
I'm still surprised why it might take that long for a full charge though.
Maybe someone who has an iPhone 10r will chime in here, or I will find out
for myself when I get my phone in 2 or 3 days.Just pretty curious about
this though.

I think the person you were replying to originally mentioned they connect
their phone to their PC. If you are plugging it into the wall, if it’s like
the XS, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours to recharge to full.

Re: Question about charging the phone

2018-10-30 Thread Aleeha Dudley
I am guessing it has to do with the bigger battery in the newer phone, which
would need more power to charge the device. A computer can’t provide a fast
charge to a device like that.

John,
I'm still surprised why it might take that long for a full charge though.
Maybe someone who has an iPhone 10r will chime in here, or I will find out for
myself when I get my phone in 2 or 3 days.Just pretty curious about this
though.

their phone to their PC. If you are plugging it into the wall, if it’s like the

Connecting your phone to a computer is always going to be a much slower
charge. I would plug it into the wall instead. It should only take an hour or

RE: Question about charging the phone

2018-10-30 Thread janet gross
Hi Rena and All,
Rena, this is a good question in which I would like to know as well. I just
bought a new iPhone 10R, and I asked the rep from my phone carrier why would it
take about three hours for a full charge as this is what he told me. Although,
my phone carrier ordered the phone for me in the color that I wanted, so I
don’t have the phone as of yet to actually check that. I do currently have an
iPhone 6, and I can get a full charge with this phone in 25 or 30 minutes, but
not with the new 10R? I don’t understand this one though.

Hello,

I always charge my iPhone plugging it to the pc .I notice that usually it takes
only a couple of hours, but sometime after several hours it’s still charging.
Does anyone have a similar experience, or know the reason for needing so many
hours?
