RE: Using Siri to call phone numbers with extensions.
I've actually found that for me only 1 comma has been necessary- even with switchboards with recorded messages. Re: Using Siri to call phone numbers with extensions.
You can also use a ';' (semi-colon) instead of a ',' (comma) to get a wait instead of a pause. Here's more about entering extensions into your contact list http://www.iphonefaq.org/archives/971500 On 10/18/2013 01:15 AM, Sieghard Weitzel wrote: Hi Liz, If this is somebody in your contacts you can add a comma "," after the number and then put the numbers for the extension. Otherwise the way to dial an extension is to just practice and dial it on the keypad as you would on a normal phone. I find it helps to use touch typing and it probably does work better with a headset because it's easier to hear what you are dialing as well as any prompts from the system. As I said, this should be something most people can get better at with practice, I say "most" because I do understand that possibly somebody with motor/coordination problems could have a problem that is not solved by practice. If orientation is your issue you might want to consider a tactile screen protector which gives you a dot where the 5 is on the keypad.
