Re: adjust volumes

2014-02-15 Thread Teresa Cochran
Basically, when you press the volume buttons, whatever is playing will be
adjusted. The simplest way to deal with this is to play something and set the
volume while it's playing. You can set VO and alerts not to be adjusted with
the volume buttons.

Re: adjust volumes

2014-02-15 Thread Tom Lange

Hi,
Remember, though, that if you're using IOS 7 and have volume in the rotor,
your VO volume could get stuck at 35 % or lower and can't move it back up.
So watch out.

Adjusting the tones and other volumes like text and the start/stop

RE: adjust volumes

2014-02-16 Thread Jim Ruby
So is there a way I can have music, ringtones, texttones stay at one volume
at all times wile adjusting voiceover volume? I want everything to stay at
the volume I set them at but for voiceover I would like to be able to adjust
this with out changing any other sound on the phone. Maybe this can't be
done on the Iphone.

You can't, music will always fade a bit to give Voiceover priority.

want your music to fade out as you use VO? I need this for a radio show.

Re: adjust volumes

2014-02-16 Thread Christopher Chaltain
I thought the bug where your VO volume got stuck at 35% when you added
Volume to your roter was just true for the newer iPhones, like the 5s.
I'm running IOS 7 on my 4S, I have Volume in the roter, and I've never
worried about nor run into this problem. Should I be worried about this
or is it a bug that only occurs on newer iPhones?

Hi,
Remember, though, that if you're using IOS 7 and have volume in the
rotor, your VO volume could get stuck at 35 % or lower and can't move it
back up. So watch out.

I may have misspoken. I don't find that setting, either, and I could
have been sure I found it in the past. Sorry about that. You can put
the VO volume in the rotor and adjust it that way, though.

Basically, when you press the volume buttons, whatever is playing
will be
adjusted. The simplest way to deal with this is to play something and
set
the volume while it's playing. You can set VO and alerts not to be
adjusted
with the volume buttons.

I do have the ringer volume at 100% where I wish them to be and have
it set so the volume buttons will not affect it.

Adjusting the tones and other volumes like text and the start/stop
sound when using siri or dictation always change when I change
voiceover volume and yes I have tried to set vo with the volume
buttons and roter with same results.

I must be missing something or not doing something quite right, or I
am just doomed to have a phone with volumes that will be changing all
over the place. Also is there a way to not have the audio duck when
voiceover is speaking if ones does not want this?

Thanks.
