RE: crashed iphone?

2015-08-27 Thread Paul Roberts
I had to do this, soon after I got my Iphone 5s.

One afternoon, I noticed I was getting no sound and when I checked with a
neighbor, they too couldn't see anything and so when I called the Apple Store
in Liverpool, they advised me to hold down, both the home and on-off buttons
together, for around 20 seconds

Whilst this didn't work ,I plugged my Iphone in, via the cable and plug which
came with it and after around 10 minutes or so, it started working again.

In more recent months, I have had a similar thing happen, whereby Voiceover
just stopps talking altogether but then it will sometimes come back on of it's
own acord.

All very strange indeed and rather irritating.

Regards

Paul.

I wish I staid up last night to read this email.

I got up this morning at 4:30, and fount this email that just saved me a cab
trip that would of cost me well over $100 to the apple store and home again.

This worked. I didn't know about this command.

Thank you so very much!

Hi Jeremy,

I would also try plugging the phone using the supplied adapter into a wall
outlet as opposed to the computer. It is possible that the computer is in
generating sufficient power to get the battery back up to where it needs to
be before it will let the iPhone power back on.

There is always a chance that the battery is completely dead and you also are
dealing with a defective cable or USB port. I would definitely try the wall
adapter that came with your iPhone, it provides a lot more power than a USB
port. Keep in mind that a phone that has been shut down because the battery is
completely drained can take up to 5 minutes and sometimes even longer to come
on. I would plug it in, give it 10 minutes and if nothing happens I would try a
different cable. This is one of these cases where you have to illuminate all
variables where something can be wrong and the charger and especially the cable
would have to be replaced to make sure they are not at fault.

Sieghard

Re: crashed iphone?

2015-08-26 Thread Julian
Hi Jeremy,

outlet as opposed to the computer. It is possible that the computer is in
generating sufficient power to get the battery back up to where it needs to be
before it will let the iPhone power back on.

I can visually see the screen, and it is black. Nothing on it.

It isn't that I am not getting sound, it is completely turned off.

Have you tried plugging in headphones to make sure the sound isn't somehow
rerouting to the earphone jack? Sounds dumb, I know, but that's happened to
me.

Subject: crashed iphone?

Hello,

So, I was listening to my music on my iphone all day.

I got the battery is running low message and for the next 3/4 hours I put it
on the charger.

I heard the last song play, and thought that I went through my song list for
the day. I thought no problem, and sense my work day was about over, didn't
restart it.

At the end of my work day, I took the phone off the charger, and realized it
was off.

I have tried to turn the phone back on, and no luck. Now that I am home,
have it charging again from my computer like I have done with the phone
sense I got it and it still hasn't come back on.

I have an Iphone 6+.

Any help would be appreciated.

Especially sense I use my phone as an alarm to wake me up in the morning for
work heh.

I kind of need it badly lol.
