I guess I didn’t know it was even possible to do that. So I don’t know. I was
in the notes app, though that should not make a difference.

Hi Denise,

I had no problems entering an email message with my Focus 40 braille display on
an iPhone 7 running iOS 10.3. I know it's possible to turn off the keyboard on
the Focus. Is there any chance you did that by accident?

Best,

Anna

Hello all,

I recently paired a focus 40 braille display with my iPad, wich runs the latest
IOS. I could read the braille on the display. However, I was unable to enter
characters when in editing mode. Has there been a problem with the most recent
ios update and the focus? Thanks.

Re: Focus 40 Braille Display

2012-10-24 Thread Teresa Cochran
If you're using IOS6, you will have to use the panning keys to go to the next
line. When you're in the text of a page, you can use dots 1-3-5 chord to go to
the next page. When you're on the page control, you can use dot-6 chord to go
to the next page.

Here's a list of Braille commands. It's not Focus 40-specific, but all these
commands work on that display.

Re: Focus 40 Braille Display

2012-10-24 Thread Ron Miller
Hi Marie,
Pressing the right rocker bar up or down will move you to the previous or next
page in a book when you're using iBooks.

Another useful control in this context may be the left selector button which
activates the Back button, if there's one on the screen (I use this control a
log).

Best regards

Ron Miller

Re: Focus 40 Braille Display

2012-10-23 Thread Woody Anna Dresner
Hi Hope,

When you're on the last line of a page (or you go too far and back up a line),
press Space with O, or press down on the right rocker bar to go to the next
page. Pressing up on the right rocker or pressing 2-4-6-chord takes you back a
page.

HTH,
Anna
