I have noticed that if my phone is unlocked Siri works great, if it is locked
she cuts out sometimes.

Apart from bob's suggestion to turn off Voiceover which seems to help there
isn't much you can do. I would, of course, recommend you join in with others
who have reported this and write to Apple Accessibility. SIRI does that on my
5S running iOS 8.1 as well. Remember that you can usually review the
information on the screen, just touch somewhere in the middle and then swipe to
find it. I set 4 reminders last night one after the other. I said "Set a
reminder for November 12 at 8 AM" SIRI asked "What would you like to be
reminded about". Normally if it works as it should, it should say the entire
thing and then beep and go into listening mode. Yesterday it did that once and
then afterwards it would just say "What would" or sometimes it would not say
anything and also not go into listening mode. I just double tapped on the
listen button above the home key and said what SIRI should remind me about,
then SIRI came back and said "Here is your reminder for November 1 at 8 AM. It
says..." Once again SIRI should normally speak the whole thing and then ask if
I would like to create the reminder. Yesterday it always said nothing, but the
information was there on the screen along with a Cancel and Confirm button. As
soon as I double tapped Confirm, SIRI would speak again and say "OK, I'll
remind you".

experience is a bit smoother and more interactive again.

Re: how to stop siri from cutting itself off in IOS 8.1

2014-10-29 Thread Robert Hill
HI,

What I've had to do when this happens is to turn Voiceover off. That seems to
allow Siri to speak without cutting off.

Hope this helps.
