Re: muting an iphone

I know there are some bluetooth headsets out there that have a mute microphone
function. I'm pretty sure the LG HBS Tone headsets can do this.

Thanks,

if you are on a call, and you are in the main call windo, and not contacts
or something. you should be able to swipe, and find the mute button.

Hi, I know it sounds ridiculous but this is for muting the microphone
not muting the phone itself.

Sometimes the mute button just seems not to be where I normally find
it. I end up having to hide the keypad before it will show up.

this is an issue because while I am trying to find the mute button some
feedback noises often begin to bother others on the call.

RE: muting an iphone

2016-08-29 Thread Edmonds, Lucy (LARA)
Just to clarify, using the mute switch on the iPhone does not mute a conference
call. The mute switch is only for muting notifications, the phone ringing,
etc., but it does not mute the actually phone on a call.

I'm just curious. What is it about muting your phone that you don't find quick
enough? The mute switch is right there, and the phone will vibrate and VO will
say muted to let you know that the phone has been muted.

Re: muting an iphone

2016-08-29 Thread Daniel L. Gervais
I don't believe there is another way of muting the mic itself then to pressing
the button on the screen. I normally have headphones on so if I use my phone
while being in a call, the other person on the call will not hear VoiceOver,
only I hear it.

Hope this helps!
