Hi, Sorry for the late reply. It's pretty much like talking. You could write things in random order I use something like: Event title on may 31 from 6 to 7 pm You can just experiment and see what it understands. RE: problems creating future events in Fantastical
So, do you write the date, then the event and then the time in the edit field? That would be very cool and a lot easier than double tapping the go to today button and flicking to get the desired month, day and year. God bless! Re: problems creating future events in Fantastical
Another option to resolve this is to create the future event in the native calendar app. So long as access is granted to Fantastical to the calendars (home, etc.) it will be able to pick up the data from the native calendar app. I typically use Fantastical only to create entries such as "the 2nd Monday of each month" since the native app doesn't provide this -- at least not to my knowledge anyway. Can you use the edit text field to use natural language for your appointment, then edit it as needed. This may require less flicking around as the date you typed or dictated in should show up. Also, I usually just use Siri to enter appointments as I am lazy! :) The only bummer to using Siri is I can't figure out how to set the reminders/alerts for the appointment through Siri. :) BTW, I had no idea how to do the date choosing, those are some excellent instructions. :) Christina Sent from Christina's iMac :) On May 7, 2014, at 7:39 AM, Richard Turner wrote: > Yes. > Find the Go To Today button just to the left of the New Event button and > double tap and hold. > Once you hear the tones, there is a multi-part picker that has month, day, > year. RE: problems creating future events in Fantastical
Yes. Find the Go To Today button just to the left of the New Event button and double tap and hold. Once you hear the tones, there is a multi-part picker that has month, day, year. Find the month and flick up I think it is to go forward. Then, go to the day picker and flick to the date you want. You can even schedule in future years with the year picker. Once you have the date you want, find the done button and double tap. Then, double tap the new event button. Note that once you have schedule the appointment, the calendar will flip back to today in just a few seconds. So, I use Siri to confirm that the date was set when I wanted it by simply asking Siri to tell me my appointments on that date. I wish the calendar would stay put in case you have several appointments to enter on a future date. I'm going to request that change.
