Like ann says, it still would be nice if they followed accessibility web
development standards. I finally just gave up and ordered on the phone.

I don't see what browser and screen reader the original poster is using.
Just remember that Apple has their own browser and screen reader, so if you're
trying something like JAWS with Internet Explorer then see if the experience is
better with Safari and VoiceOver. Apple may be a large wealthy company, but
they still have finite resources, and I'd think they'd prioritize their web
development and testing of their own sites with their own products before that
of their competitors.

When I contacted Apple accessibility about the shopping experience on their web
site, they suggested I try a browser other than internet explorer. I didn't
have any better luck with Firefox, but safari worked just fine on my iPhone.
Also the Apple Store app works well as I think some people have mentioned.

Hi Larry,

I have the same experience every time I buy from Apple site. The very
people who have given us so much freedom and accessibility have made the
buying experience on their website hell. I often leave the website and sign
back in to double check whether I've actually managed to put the item I want
to the shopping bag. In the process of completing the purchase, there's
also a lot of interacting necessary with various areas. I've never come
across a site that's so complex. It takes me literally hours to make a
purchase.

I'm sorry I haven't got a sure solution for you. I just doggedly keep on
trying, using item chooser menu a lot, using simulated mouse clicking. But
do double check because I happen to have put two iphones into my shopping
bag a couple of times which would have been very expensive. In the end I
had to delete my purchases. The trouble is Apple webssite saves your
shopping bags, and it seems to me that you can end up having more than one
shopping bag - that's why I'm saying keep on double checking, and if in
doubt, use delete items option.

Good luck

Andrew

Hi, if you have the Apple Store app on your phone, you might want to try to
purchase your iPod touch through the Apple store itself using the app. I did
this the other day. And it went well. Hope this helps.

experience on their website hell. I often leave the website and sign back in
to double check whether I've actually managed to put the item I want to the
shopping bag. In the process of completing the purchase, there's also a lot of
interacting necessary with various areas. I've never come across a site that's
so complex. It takes me literally hours to make a purchase.

I'm sorry I haven't got a sure solution for you. I just doggedly keep on
trying, using item chooser menu a lot, using simulated mouse clicking. But do
double check because I happen to have put two iphones into my shopping bag a
couple of times which would have been very expensive. In the end I had to
delete my purchases. The trouble is Apple webssite saves your shopping bags,
and it seems to me that you can end up having more than one shopping bag -
that's why I'm saying keep on double checking, and if in doubt, use delete
items option.

Good luck
