Re: two ios 8.1 bugs?

2014-11-05 Thread Dan Beaver
Hi,

do you see this no matter what method you use to make a call or is it only
when you tell Siri to dial a number. I see this everytime I tell Siri to
dial a person or number. However, if I open the phone app and double tap a
contact or recent call the keyboard is always there.

If using the Siri method I too hear no tones and VO speaks nothing to do
with the screen at that point.

Thanks.

Hi guys:
When I make a phone call on my 5S, and have to press a number to access a
menu, none of the numbers on the keyboard will speak with VO.
Second issue is the iTunes password keyboard letters will not speak when I
try and make a purchase from the phone. Can you duplicate these issues? They
worked fine in v 7.02.

RE: two ios 8.1 bugs?

2014-11-04 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Sarah,

The NumPad numbers not making a tone happens on my 5S as well and I believe it
is a universal issue at least with Voiceover. However, just because you don't
hear the tone doesn't mean you can't input numbers, whatever system on the
other side recognizes your number presses just fine so it's not a big deal. For
me the problem usually goes away if I quit all aps and reboot the phone, then
after a while some numbers will stop making the tone again and then quite often
none of them do or maybe just one or 2 will and the rest won't. Anyhow, like I
said, it's a minor annoyance and it's a lot better than what we had to deal
with before iOS 8.1 where you would touch a number and the tone would get stuck
and not stop until you pressed the same number again. Then it would mostly
stop, but sometimes not even then and even if it did stop that second press of
the number would be recorded by the remote system and it would really mess
things up when you tried to enter an account or credit card number.

I have not had any problems entering my Apple Id and I would suggest you empty
the app switcher, shut down your phone, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on to
see if that helps.

Sieghard
