Other than taking it away the only way you can limit is if you have control of your router's web interface. Re: App questions
Here is part of your answer. I will look further for restricting for a period of time. hen you have Restrictions on, you might not see certain apps, features, or services. If you're missing an app or feature, or can't use a certain service, try turning Restrictions off. If you have any of these issues, try turning off Restrictions: a.. You don't see an app on the Home screen (like Safari, Camera, or FaceTime). b.. You can't use a certain feature or service (like Siri or Location Services). c.. You see that a setting is missing or dimmed (like Mail, iCloud, Twitter, and FaceTime). If you lose or forget your Restrictions passcode, you need to erase your device, then set it up as a new device to remove the Restrictions passcode. Learn more a.. You can also use Restrictions on your Mac or PC and Apple TV. b.. Learn how to prevent In-App Purchases or change the credit card that you use in the iTunes Store. I'm looking for an app that tells me what's near me in a category such as hotels, restaurants, Etc. I'm looking for an impartial app, like around me used to be. Please note: around me is no longer this good! I'll base it on the old around me, hopefully you guys know of a similar app. A year ago, if I wanted to know what hotels were close to me, I used to use the around me app. It was completely impartial to hotels.com, travelocity, Kyak, Etc. It just gave me what was close, nothing else! i got the hotels around me, based solely on distance, and nothing else! The new around me no loger does this and deliberately skips hotels i know darn well are close, because its partnered with hotels.com now. How about restaurants? I know of a good restaurant called "Clean street marina.' (not the actual name, since i don't wanna give away right where i live!) Its a good fish/seafood place, some of the fish came right from my local lake! What if I'm in dallas and want to find a locally owned truly texas barbecue place (not a chain?) What about a small locally owned motel/hotel that's distinctly dallas? Is there new apps that are good at that stuff? Please reply. If you guys just can't follow my point I'll put it a different way...the sighted person who looks at the signs of businesses around him/her, seeing what the area is like. Re: App questions (saddened by some iPhone apps)
Hello Jordan, I'll second David's recommendation of Where To? - Discover your next destination using GPS, and point out that this app is on sale today for $0.99. I actually prefer it over localscope in my area. However, my experience is that you'll get different responses to how well some of these location-based apps work depending on the specific location of the user. Where To? does list results in order of distance from the search location. I love the fact that you can get updated information on the direction and distance to your selected location as you move. I also like the fact that they provide links to the web pages and hours of sites, and menus to where available. Now, some of these features like menus are not as extensive as what I might get through other apps, but those other apps generally don't work internationally, as Where To? does. The other thing I really like is the integration of Where To? with GPS navigation apps like Navigon, TomTom, Motion X GPS Drive, and a lot of the local transportation apps. If you don't already have the Where To? app, it's definitely worth getting while it's on sale today: • Where To? - Discover your next destination using GPS ($0.99 on sale today, usually $2.99) by FutureTap GmbH https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/futuretap-gmbh/id314785159 The app deal information is also already posted at AppleVis. And yes, Blind Square is good, and will list results in order of distance and give you distance and direction information. HTH.
