Re: Can't Find Focus 40 Blue Braille Display In IOS7
I have gotten my Focus 40 Blue and Apex braillenote to connect. After the ios 7 update, I had to reset my iphone before the braille displays could be found in the braille settings. It was very good to finally get the displays connected. Re: Can't Find Focus 40 Blue Braille Display In IOS7
Hi Debra and all. I just wanted to chime in here real quick to say that I have a Focus 14 myself, and have run into similar issues. However, my circumstances were somewhat differant. I have noticed some very odd translation issues since having upgraded, so after experimenting with some of the braille settings (to no avail), I decided to tell my iPhone to forget my braille display so that I could try pairing it again. When I tried pairing it again, I think I must have typed in the pin incorrectly, and I received a message saying that pairing was unsuccessful. Naturally, I went back to start the process all over again, but the phone couldn't even see my display in discovery mode anymore. I tried turning the display offf and back on again, but. it still wouldn't show up. It wasn't listed under the general bluetooth settings either. The only thing that seemed to work is to completely reboot the iPhone. Once the phone had been rebooted, the display showed back up in discovery mode and I was able to pair itup. again. So, I guess the moral of the story is, have you tried shutting your phone down and bringing it back up again? I am still having odd translation problems, but that's another problem for a different post. I am using an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 by the way.
