RE: Cleaning the camera linse on an IPhone.

2013-03-10 Thread Sieghard Weitzel
Hi Annie,

I wouldn't use alcohol, instead use a lint free cloth, best something like a
micro fibre cloth. I bought a cleaning kit for LCD screens which comes with
a nice cloth and a spray bottle of a cleaning solution which, if you spray
it onto a LCD screen is made so it doesn't run down the screen. When I clean
my iPhone I usually spray a bit on the cloth and let it soak in, then wipe
off my iPhone.
If you own an LCD or other flat panel TV and/or maybe LCD computer screens
having such a cleaning kit is a good investment as they are not very
expensive.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi all.

Before doing something at all, I thought I would ask you for a good advice.
I think my kamera linse has got a little dirty, can I clean it with
anything. I thought of some propyl alkohol, but I do not know if that will
be the thing to use.

Thank you an advange.

Best regards Annie.

Re: Cleaning the camera linse on an IPhone.

2013-03-10 Thread Grant Hardy
Agreed. Apple mentions the following in the user guide:
Cleaning Clean iPhone immediately if it comes in contact with
anything that may cause stains—such as dirt, ink, makeup, or lotions.
To clean:

• Disconnect all cables and turn iPhone off (press and hold the
Sleep/Wake button, then slide the onscreen slider).
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth.
• Avoid getting moisture in openings.
• Don’t use cleaning products or compressed air.

The front or back cover of iPhone may be made of glass with a
fingerprint-resistant oleophobic (oil repellant) coating. This coating
wears over time with
normal usage. Cleaning products and abrasive materials will further
diminish the coating, and may scratch the glass. Abrasive media may
also scratch iPhone.
