Hi Donna,
When Voice Brief starts playing, stop it and then put your finger 
just above the home button and slide it up a little. You will then 
see a button which has DN and the word Arrow. That's the settings 
button. Double tap and you'll be back in the settings screen.

I have had the same problem with the Twitter thing in voice brief. I don't know 
if anyone has got that to work.
