Subject: IOS 8.4 on 5th gen ipod touch

I just got around to updating my fifth generation ipod touch to IOS 8.4. And
now I have a major problem.

The most significant problem I have found thus far is that I am no longer able
to move between pages by swiping up and down on the iPod screen. Nor can I do
so using the Amazon Basics blue tooth keyboard. When updating an app, I noted
that I was not able to double tap the update button. I ultimately got around
this by rebooting. However, my inability to switch between my four pages of
apps is unchanged. What is interesting is that when on page one, if I double
tapped the page number rather than swiped, it would ascend to the next page.
However, when I got to the last page which is page four on this iPod, it stuck
at page 4. I could however get back to page one by using Siri to open an app
such as messages on page 1. Also, rebooting took me back to page 1.

I am truly at a loss as to what to do now because this problem renders the
device virtually useless. Ideas please!

Thanks.

RE: IOS 8.4 on 5th gen ipod touch

2015-07-25 Thread Richard Turner
To change pages, it is a three finger swipe from right to left to go from 1 to
2, etc.

A three finger swipe right to left to go from 4 to 3, etc.

If you just touch the place that says 1 of 4 pages, then do a single finger
swipe up it should change as well, but the three finger sideways swipe is more
reliable in my experience.
