Hi,

Not sure I understand the first question. The keyboard only goes to sleep
after not using it for a long time, independent of wether one is on a call
or not. However, if the phone is at your ear it stops accepting commands
because it blocks the touch screen. With headphones or on speaker the
keyboard and other ways to operate the phone will work.

Juice packs are as far as I know battery cases that extend the battery life
of your phone.

You can change the default voiceover voice in settings, general,
accessibility, voiceover, language and dialects.

Hope this answers your questions.

Best,

Ioana

This might be helpful.
http://www.hllf.net/70

There's no double tap and hold keyboard gesture nor is there a triple tap
and hold, but the three finger swipe down is in there.

The Apple bluetooth keyboard takes replacement batteries.

Re: Keyboard questions

2012-05-01 Thread Jennie Facer
I think someone could give you the combination, because I would also like to
know.

My keyboard is foldable, but it is a little bulky. It isn't a mini I don't
think. When the apple keyboard is folded out, that is what the Verbatim
keyboard looks like folded out. It folds like that in half.

Hope this helps,

Jenn

Re: Keyboard questions

2012-04-30 Thread Esther
Hi Danielle,

I'll paste in the answer I wrote on the mac-access list last November. Now
that the viphone list has started archiving its posts at the Mail Archive web
pages, future searches for answers to similar questions should be much easier
by going to the Viphone public archive web site, listed in the second line at
the end of each post. This is basically the umbrella Mail Archive web page:
http://www.mail-archive.com/
with the posting address for the mailing list appended in each case. In this
case, all I had to do was go to the web page for the mac-access list, and type
into the search text box:
from:Esther notifications
(without the quotation marks). When I pressed return, the following result
popped up. You won't be able to run such searches for the viphone list yet,
since the only viphone list posts archived there over past three years are the
ones that I cc'ed to the macvisionaries list, but I guarantee this will make
finding previously posted information easier in the future.

I'll add that there is no keyboard shortcut for the double tap and hold pass
through gesture. The way that I think of the reason for this, is that the pass
through gesture indicates that you want to bypass the VoiceOver specific
gestures and use the standard gestures instead. However, keyboard navigation
features are only supported when VoiceOver is turned on. No sighted user who
employs standard touch screen gestures and uses a paired Bluetooth keyboard
can execute any commands except for text editing functions. So until Bluetooth
keyboard navigation commands are supported for sighted users outside of
VoiceOver, no keyboard equivalent shortcut to bypass VoiceOver gestures is
going to work.

Open the notification center with VO-M and then Option-Up arrow. The full
archived post from the Mac-access list Mail Archive pages, which includes links
to sources of keyboard shortcut information, is pasted in below by signature.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther

Hi Eric,

To open the notification center with your Bluetooth keyboard, after moving to
the status bar with VO-M use Option+Up arrow, which is the keyboard shortcut
equivalent to the 3 finger flick down to scroll the page. To move to the
button to dismiss notification center use Control+Down arrow.

This is one of the cases where the format of the (older shortcuts) on hllf's
blog site may make it easier to look up shortcuts. He uses the nice table
format that gives action, keystrokes with QuickNav off, keystrokes with
QuickNav on, and equivalent gesture. Daniel's AxS lab pages of shortcuts are
up to date and very nice, but you have to associate terms to find the shortcut.
