RE: Opening old OpenBook Files

With the help of a friend, I was able to put all the OB files onto a thumb
drive, when I transferred to this computer. You might then have to get a new
copy of OB, I’d guess, though.

Hi. If you have a PC you can download a demo version of Open Book from
www.freedomscientific.com <http://www.freedomscientific.com> . You should be
able to open these files and save them in a different format.

I suspect your best bet would be to open them with Openbook and save in word or

I'm doubtful you will find anything in Mac or iOS.

If you don't still have Openbook, I'm not sure what you can do.

Maybe do a web search for opening openbook .arc files and see what comes up.

hang of it, it enables you to run virtually ALL of your old applications

you don't have to worry about unpatched security issues ... if you
absolutely must re-enable networking ... snapshot the VM first, do what you
need to do, disable networking (potentially saving whatever files you've
changed, and restore to the previous snapshot ... that way any new badness
is thrown away ;>).
