It has a piece that fits in the ear as well as a loop that fits behind the
ear. I have found the ear piece is secure.

The Legend is an ear peace. It can be worn on either ear. There is a
peace which goes inside the ear but the Legend comes with 3 incerts. Small,
medium or large. In my case, the smallest fits best in my ear.

The Legend is very comfortable to ware. Let me give you an example, I put
my ear peace on in the morning and take it off to recharge it when I go to bed.
Most of the time I don’t know I’m wearing it. It does very slightly deminish
hearing in the ear it’s being worn in however, this isn’t much of a problem in
folks with normal hearing.

Hi Larry,

I checked on that one a couple days ago and the price was $79. I checked using

Since their prices do tend to vary, it is probably worth checking often and see

in that ear. In this case, I had the Legend in my left ear. That was also
where the traffic was coming from. Behind me going to the front of me. I
stood on the street corner trying to read the traffic and I stood there
through several cycles of the traffic signal when finally the instructor
yells out, take the bluetooth ear peace out of your ear! I felt like a

my ear and dropped it in my shirt pocket, I could hear just fine and
scampered across the street. The trainer then said ok, now cross back over
which I did but I did feel foolish though so the Legend is very comfortable

The Legend has both a power switch and up/down volume. The power switch slides
up to turn on. You are then told the following. Power on. Talk Time 7 hours.
Above the power switch is the spring loaded volume control. I just reach up
with my thumb and press the spring loaded switch up. When it gets to maximum
you hear the announcement volume maximim. Going the other way it will announce
volume minimun. When listening to music or an NLS talking book, there is no
announcement. The legend will also let you pause a talking book or resume
playback by use of the small button mounted on the boom. If a phone call comes
in wile your listening to a book or music, that music or book is placed on
pause. When you hang up your phone call, playback resumes where you left off.

I may have missed the answer to this, but does this device use a switch to
power and connect off and on? Having a few bluetooth ear pieces, I’ve found
myself always gravitating to my trusty M50 because you can connect to your
device with a simple flick of the power switch. I’m not a fan of the ones where
you have to press and hold the power button for a few seconds to get the device
to turn on and connect to the phone and vice versa.

Hi,
Thanks for all the views in this subject. I ended up buying the Legend and am
expecting it here around tuesday. The reason why i wondered this in the first
place was that Applevis had a review of the M55 where it got very good rating,
on the other hand so did the Legend. It looks like the Legend has its voice
prompts translated to Swedish wich is a very good thing in my opinion.
Gonna be interesting to see how this turns out.

RE: Plantronics M55 vs Voyager Legend?

2015-01-24 Thread Richard Turner
It turns out I am getting the Plantronics M55 at work.

For those who have or have used the M55, is it also comfortable to wear?

This will be my first Bluetooth earpiece, so just want to have some idea what
I’m getting into. It sounds like the Legend is really excellent. But, since
I’m getting the M55, any heads up would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

ear peace on in the morning and take it off to recharge it when I go to bed.
Most of the time I don’t know I’m wearing it. It does very slightly deminish
hearing in the ear it’s being worn in however, this isn’t much of a problem in
folks with normal hearing.

Does it sit on the ear or is it an earbud style that goes in the ear?

Re: Plantronics M55 vs Voyager Legend?

Rick, if the caller is not in your contacts, the Ledgend will announce the
telephone number or the name of the caller with caller ID. I espcially like
the answer or ignore feature. Sometimes, I'm busy and can't take the call or
don't want to because I know the caller is one of those people you can never
seem to get rid of once you start talking to them and the Legend lets me choose.

The Legend is an ear peace. It can be worn on either ear. There is a peace
which goes inside the ear but the Legend comes with 3 incerts. Small, medium
or large. In my case, the smallest fits best in my ear.

The Legend is very comfortable to ware. Let me give you an example, I put my
ear peace on in the morning and take it off to recharge it when I go to bed.
Most of the time I don’t know I’m wearing it. It does very slightly deminish
hearing in the ear it’s being worn in however, this isn’t much of a problem in
folks with normal hearing.

  Hi,
I’m thinking about getting myself a bluetooth headset and have more or less

one? I’ve heard good things about both the M55 and the Voyager legend and so i
want to hear from those who have the two or have tried both. How are they in
sound quality, performance and VO accessibility? I don’t want to buy a headset
that’s accessible but has a lousy sound quality when it comes to phone calls. I
don’t care much for Siri since it’s not available in Swedish and probably won’t
ever be, but which is the best for use with apps like Blindsquare?

RE: Plantronics M55 vs Voyager Legend?

2015-01-23 Thread Merv Keck
Hi,

I changed from the Legend to the Edge because it was purported to have
longer battery life. Although this is true if you use the supplied battery
case every five or six hours to boost the Edge battery, the legend is more
comfortable and just as good quality sound in my humble opinion. I wish I
still had my Legend. The edge may be a newer model but I would much rather
go back to the Legend if I had the option.

Hope that helps.

Merv
