RE: Question about popsockets with iPhones?
I have used a Pop Socket for several years. My first case was a hard plastic, but now I have a more rubber and textured case and the popsocket still sticks just fine. It attaches with a sticky adhesive like a strong sticker. You just peel off the paper and then stick it on where you want. It is also designed so you can pry it off and adjust where you have the pop socket attached. It will work well if you want to prop up your phone in landscape mode, but I think you'd be frustrated by it if you were trying to keep it in an upright portrait position. I used it as a stand when my kids were little and watching videos on my phone. I'd get the video going and set it on the table in landscape position.I mainly like it as a security handle of sorts if I am holding and working my phone while walking. And, finally, because women's pants often do not have pockets, I have been known to pull out the pop socket a bit, and use it to keep my phone from sliding down when I tuck my phone in my waistband. You can also get tripods which have a spring-loaded clamp which hold pretty much any phone in or out of a case. An example would be the below, you can search for "Joby GorillaPod" to find more options/variations: Joby GripTight Pro 2 Mount (Black/Charcoal)<https://www.amazon.ca/Joby-GripTight-Mount-Black-Charcoal/dp/B07C11MVPY/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=joby=1590071375=electronics=1-15> -Original Message- From: viphone@googlegroups.com On Behalf Of Diane Giannetti Sent: Thursday, May 21, 2020 5:03 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Question about popsockets with iPhones? Re: Question about popsockets with iPhones?
I know that when I got those pop sockets, it did not work for me as my Case would not allow it to stick. I find for video conferences, standards would work for your iPhone. Get a good salad stand and place it where people would be able to see you or whatever you need it for and that would work great. Re: Question about popsockets with iPhones?
Hi if you’re talking about those round things that stick up from the iPhone case to allow the phone to be held in a more easily but also to allow it to stand my folks have one and it sticks to the OtterBox case on the back I don’t think it’s that difficult to install but I don’t know if you’re not talking about that I’m not sure what you’re talking about I hope this helps.
